Derrik Spoelman

Derrik Spoelman moved to Alaska with his family in 1968. In 1988, Derrik graduated with a BS degree in Geology from Arizona State University. Derrik is a Registered Professional Geologist with over 35 years in geological, environmental consulting and project management.
Mr. Spoelman moved back to Anchorage, Alaska in 2013 and has continued work in the environmental, geological, hazardous waste and energy fields. For the past three years Derrik has assisted in the hazardous and universal waste packaging, transportation, and disposal/recycling from communities across Alaska. Derrik was hired by Zender Environmental in April of 2023 and among other tasks will be assisting in training, waste packaging, transportation and recycling logistics, environmental compliance, and health and safety.
Derrik enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and driving his vintage muscle car. Derrik feels passionate about helping communities with their environmental issues and the satisfaction of assisting in providing a healthy environment for future generations.
